The lab has a new paper online today in Nature. The paper uses a novel imaging approach to visualize chromatin and gene expression in single cells in Drosophila embryos. You can hear more about the research at the Keystone Symposium on the 3D Genome. Alistair is presenting a talk this evening and Leslie is presenting a poster on Tuesday evening.
The lab gathered together before the holidays to assemble a gingerbread house and, in the wake of the CRISPR-baby news, to watch Gattaca.
The 2nd annual Boettiger lab pumpkin carving took place this past weekend and there were some great designs. Perhaps we should have a contest next year…

Yesterday Mirae graduated with a B.S. in Physics. We are going to miss her around the lab as she heads off to do an internship in France and a Ph.D. at MIT. Congratulations, Mirae!
