Gap Shadow Paper

Boundary analysis in cc14 of temperature effects is the data in which we see that the shadow and primary alone are even worse

at high temperature (30C)  than at 22C.  The control is better at 22C and does not change significantly when raised to 30C.

Also updated colors on Kr-kni-figure and double checked labels.  KrCD2 naturally sits near the promoter and may contain short range repressors that can still act in a dominant fashion.  In our assay, KrCD2 is downstream of LacZ (due to restriction site choices) and may not be able to exert as much repression.   Moreover, promoter proximal repressor sites may be lacking in the eve2-promoter fusion.

Kni on the other hand requires dominant repression since the distal 5′ enhancer still manages to sharpen the boundaries, and the kni intronic enhancer does not give proper boundaries even with the full kni promoter.

To do: New figure of central vs. boundary region for cc13.
New analysis and figure of dominant hb anterior repression.
Write Supplemental Methods on imaging (see Cande et al Dev Cell for cross-referencing a previously well documented methods).
